Q1 and Q2 are active amplifier elements.Agc range is 60 db, maximum output signal is 1 v, and maximum input signal is 2 mv. Noise figure is 6 db. Agc circuit here uses shunting diode D1.-Texas Instruments Inc., Transistor Circuit Design, McGraw-Hill, N.Y., 1963, p 179.
