Permits control of gain of small signal amplifier by means of d-c voltage. Adjustment potentiometer does not carry signal cur rent. D-c control voltage acts on 6-v zener diode which in turn controls amplifier gain. Control voltage is limited to -4 v, which makes gain adjustable between 0.04 and 0.7 for range of 1 to 18.
