This circuit shows a Norton used as a driver for a piezoelectric transducer (a warning type of noise maker). The output is returned back to the (+) terminal through the transducer to sustain oscillation (at the resonant frequency determined by the transducer). Resistors R1 and R2 bias the output voltage at V+/2 to keep the amplifier in the active region.
