Control voltage in range of 0 to -9 V provides gain range of 1 to 1000 for National LM318 opamp using FET in feedback path. Bandwidth is better than 20 kHz at maximum gain. Applications include remote or multichannel gain control, volume expansion, and volume compression/limiting.-J.
