Mixer Released the HMC1015 Mixer

Hittite Microwave Corporation recently released the HMC1015 triple-balanced GaAs MESFET MMIC mixer, which is well suited for microwave and millimeter wave radios, military sensors, and test/measurement equipment applications.

The HMC1015 can be used as a frequency converter with 16 to 22 GHz at the IF port and 26 to 32 GHz at the RF port. It employs a passive architecture that requires no DC bias and no external components or matching circuitry.

The mixer operates with LO drive levels from +9 dBm to +15 dBm, and is suited for use as the frequency converter core in both upconversion and downconversion applications. On-chip balun structures provide LO to RF, LO to IF and 2LO to IF isolations of greater than 30 dB.

The HMC1015 is offered in bare die form and features RF I/Os which are internally matched to 50 Ohms.
