MicroPower Direct recently introduced the I2000RU series, which is a high performance family of 20W DC/DC converters. They are developed to offer high power density, long field reliability and high performance features for space critical applications. They have an ultra-wide input voltage range, efficiency to 89%, industry standard pin-out and tight line/load regulation.

Twelve models operate from 4:1 input ranges of 9 to 36 VDC, or 18 to 75 VDC, offering tightly regulated single and dual outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, ±12 or ±15 VDC. The features contain an input/output isolation of 1,500 VDC, low output noise, tight line/load regulation and efficiency as high as 89%. All models have continuous short circuit protection, output power protection and a remote control input. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the I2000RU series is 346 khours.

The I2000RU family is in an ultra-miniature package, 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.43 inch metal case. The pin-out is compliant with industry standard. Each model is intended for operation over the wide operating industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

The I2000RU series is very suited for a wide variety of board level power applications where high output power, robust performance and small packaging are necessary. They are widely used in process control systems, portable/mobile equipment, data processing systems, and power distribution subsystems.

MicroPower Direct products are developed to provide long, reliable field life. What’s more, extensive reliability screening is also performed on all modules as a routine part of our production process.
