Founded in the year of 2006, Heliatek devotes itself in the development and production of organic solar cells. It relies on more 15 years experience in the in the development and characterisation of organic materials and organic devices. An organic solar cell with 9.8% efficiency is introduced by Heliatek, which is a new world record. It applies a low-temperature process which is compatible with deposition on plastic film. Heliatek is the only solar company in the world focused on the deposition of small molecules with low-temperature processes. This method has been widely used by the market for use with OLED. This firm develops and synthesises in house the molecules responsible for capturing light in solar cells and converting this light into electricity.
