Tektronix is an American company, which is specialized in producing the test and measurement equipment such as logic analyzers, and video and mobile test protocol equipment. It has become a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation in the November 2007. For the development of monitoring systems for ATSC & DVB transport streams, it was honored at the 2008 Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards.

The highest specification handheld oscilloscope is released by Tektronix. The maximum bandwidth of this component is 200MHz, and the sample rate is 5GS/s. The four-channel oscilloscopes are embedded in the THS3000. The battery life of the oscilloscopes can be seven hours.

Nowadays, the electric systems become more complex and popular, therefore, the engineers’ demand to correlate field and lab measurements and to perform advanced debugging and analysis in the field become higher and higher. The THS3000 series is the first true high-performance handled oscilloscope, which has the technical performance for analysis of low voltage analog and digital control signals.

Both the 100MHz and 2.5GS/s maximum sampling rate and 200MHz and 5GS/s sample rate are suitable for the models. There is a 10,000 point record length per each of four channels. Each channel on a THS3000 oscilloscope is isolated from the chassis ground and from each other. Like the external USB inputs for data storage, instrument setups and PC communication are isolated, hence the users can make floating measurement for voltage up to 300V CAT III when using the included 10X probes or 1000V(rms) CAT II with optional probes. The instrument has 600V(rms) CAT III rated inputs for safe high voltage measurements.

The isolated inputs enable users to make high voltage floating or differential measurements safely. Four 10X passive probes, 7 hour battery, a three-year warranty and OpenChoice desktop software are also included in the models.
