Power Partners has introduced 40W ultra compact power supply. The PPWA40 Series provides up to 40 Watts of continuous output power and up to 50 Watts of peak power, with an ultra compact footprint of only 1.5” x 3.0” x 0.94”. These small, power packed supplies are very suited for low cost, low power applications where space is at a premium.
With voltages ranging from 5VDC to 48VDC, the PPWA40 Series has seven single output models. The device is especially efficient with ratings up to 91%. The specified operating temperature range is 0°C to +70°C, even with derating above 50°C. Under the condition of convection cooling, dull power can be achieved with no additional thermal components or fan cooling in need. The peak power rating allows the PPWA40 Series to be specified for applications that require short cycle of peak power, without the need to select a more expensive, higher power rated supply.
The PPWA40 Series is an open frame constructed AC-DC switching power supply with three different mechanical options – top pin or bottom pin PCB mount or chassis mount configurations. Comprehensive overvoltage, overcurrent, over temperature, and short circuit protection is inherent in the design. Units are EN55022 Class B compliant for radiated and conducted emissions, eliminating the need for any external filtering, conform to worldwide safety standards and are RoHS compliant. The warranty is three years.
