In the year of 2011, 87 million of the LED-backlit televisions will be sold out in 2011, which take 37% of the entire shipments; 132 million LED televisions are expected to ship in the year of 2012, which takes 53% of the entire shipments. Generally speaking, the growth rate of the digital TV can keep fairy flat in the developed markets, such as North America, Europe and Japan, in the year of 2012. Meanwhile, the sales of digital television are also increase in the districts throughout Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Many elements drive the expansion of digital televisions, such as fast-growth economies, increased disposable incomes and large populations. The ratio taken by the digital television will reach 70% in these districts in 2015.
With the smart televisions, users are able to watch anything found on a website on their television. The smart TV has brought internet and Web 2.0 features to television sets. It is predicated that 40% of the smart television will be sold in the year of 2012. Moreover, the 3D television will enter the mainstream of must haves in the year of 2011. The manufacturers also add the 3D function to their products gradually.
