ON Semiconductor, a renowned supplier of high performance silicon solutions for energy efficient electronics, launched a series of active clock generator ICs that manage electromagnetic interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) at the clock source to deliver system-wide EMI reduction of all clock dependent signals.
The new P3MS650100H and P3MS650103H LVCMOS peak EMI reduction clock generators are intended for use in space-constrained applications such as portable, battery powered devices, and mobile phones and tablets where EMI/RFI can be a significant challenge and compliance with regulations.
ON Semiconductor said the P3MS650100H and P3MS650103H are the industry’s smallest standalone active solution for reducing EMI/RFI at the clock source as well as downstream clock and data signals derived from the clock source as they are housed in a miniature four-pin WDFN package measuring 1 mm×1.2mm×0.8mm.
The input voltage of the P3MS650100H and P3MS650103H ranges from 1.8V to 3.3V, and typical deviations from 0.45 percent to 1.4 percent. Frequency range is 15MHz to 60MHz for the reduction of EMI/RFI in clock sources with an operating temperature range of -20℃ to +85℃.
The three new devices, the ESD7008, MG2040 and ESD7104, provide electrostatic discharge protection for high-speed data and video lines with offering the lowest capacitance, highest signal integrity and low clamping voltages.
More ICs from this family targeting various frequency ranges and deviations are planned for release in the first quarter of 2012.
ON Semiconductor is a premier supplier of high performance silicon solutions for energy efficient electronics. The company’s broad portfolio of power and signal management, logic, discrete and custom devices helps customers efficiently solve their design challenges in automotive, communications, computing, consumer, industrial, LED lighting, medical, military/aerospace and power applications.
