EBC-C384 Single Board Computer

With Intel’s ATOM N455 single-core 1.66 GHz processor paired with the ICH8M I/O controller hub adopted, WinSystems’ EBC-C384-S is an EBX-compatible Single Board Computer (SBC). It includes one SODIMM socket for DDR3 system memory and one CompactFlash socket.

The SBC is a full-feaured unit with on-board I/O that supports CRT/LVDS video simultaneously, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, four serial RS-232/422/485 COM channels, 48 digital I/O lines, HD audio, watchdog timer, PS/2 keyboard and mouse controllers, and LPT.

In addition, it has a MiniPCI socket and PC/104-Plus connectors for additional I/O expansion by adding these modules on the board.

The 147×203-mm EBC-C384 supports Linux, Windows XP embedded and WES7, and other x86-compatible RTOSes such as QNX and VxWorks. The N455 model is fanless, requires 5 volts, typically draws 2.1 Amps and is priced at $529. The D525 typically draws 2.9 Amps, requires a fan and is priced at $595.
