As we know that the GPEG’s Field Sequential Displays is a great success. Then the engineering teams of GPEG are trying to enhance their performance. So the User experience also can be improved. Improvements to the RGB backlight and the LC fluid have resulted in each pixel now displaying twenty seven colours, an increase of over 3x from the original design. This also has the effect of improving contrast which is now 300:1 with the viewing angle now 150 degrees left to right.
GPEG’s FSD’s have a paper white background when it is in negative mode, and they have a very black background when it is in minimal light bleed. With an onboard controller, the displays can be operated normally. The onboard controller can simplifies interfacing to popular microprocessors.
A full customisation service for these displays is provided by GPEG. The guide through the design process from concept to mass production can be given to the customers. With this improved displays, the customers can choose the full color display solutions. They also can upgrade a monochrome display to a color display at a very competitive price.
White goods, industrial devices, instruments, meters, and information displays are the applications of these new displays. There are several unique features of these new displays, such as twenty seven colors per pixel, parallel and/or serial interface, high contrast 300:1, wide viewing angle +/-150 deg left to right, no color filter, low cost and so on.
