Agilent Announces Best Performance Microwave Network analyzers

Published:2011/6/19 9:26:00 Author:Amy From:SeekIC

At the IMS2011 show, Agilent Technologies released five new PNA microwave vector network analyzer models which can span up to 67GHz. The company took the new series on its PNA-X architecture as base, and claims it has the world's highest performing microwave network analyzer. The applications of thisproduct can be list as testing passive and active devices such as filters, duplexers, amplifiers, and frequency converters. Measurements include component characterizations, signal integrity, and materials measurements.
The specifics of the product are as followed: 1) Two-port internal single-source or four-port internal dual-source configuration in five frequency models: 13.5, 26.5, 43.5, 50 and 67 GHz. 2) The highest source output power: +11 dBm at 67 GHz (N5227A 67 GHz model). 3) 0.1 dB receiver compression point higher than +10 dBm (all models).
Agilent has managed to crowbar most of the advanced measurement options that are available on the PNA-X series into this new platform. I saw the demo on this product in the Agilent booth at IMS2011, and it looks to be an excellent tool for device characterization and testing.

Agilent’s PNA Series network analyzers (N522XA) are available now and it priced at at $60,000. The related integrated circuit is IT8702F.
