Secondly, the manufacturers need the solution of platform. The package, software and application of the platform are in the upstream of the value chain. Because the smart television is driven by the function, the platform, which is used provide functions, is really important. The manufactures are impossible to invest excessive resources on the development of platform technology, and the standard of the smart TV software and hardware is not clear; therefore, providing the solution of platform is batter than providing the simple chip and software when the upstream manufacturers want to cooperate with the smart television factories.

The smart TV has the embedded operating system (such as Android, Windows, Linux and so on) platforms, which is different from the traditional television.
