The pressure of the market time drives the suppliers find an integrated circuit which can be developed and made for only one time.

The second challenge of the semiconductor suppliers is to cooperate with the customers. The design of the product needs the coordination in the automotive, consumer electronics areas. The partners of the IP or software are the most important, such as the cooperation between Fujitsu and BMW. The direct cooperation between the semiconductor supplier and automotive manufacturer has changed the traditional engineering motion in this area. The traditional model is a unidirectional flow of message. The suppliers introduce the market tendency, developing direction and the details to the automotive manufacturers.
