According to the survey of WitsView, the emphasis of flat panel display is not laid on the LCD television, because the problem of over-capacity is still existed. If the capacity can be controlled in the first half of next year, the beam season in the second half can be expected.

The increasing demand in the first quarter and the predication of short supply in the third quarter of this year make the customers prepare the goods positively in the second quarter of this year. Therefore, the shipment in the second quarter hit an all-time high. The profit of the panel manufacturers was decrease in the third quarter of this year, which influenced by the low demand of Chinese market and European market. The price of the panel is also decreasing. The production capacity was reduce, and stocks adjustment of the display and laptop computer make the ratio of demand and supply reduce from 12% to 2.1%, so the supply and demand become balance in the third quarter.

The demands in the fourth quarter are mainly from people’s preparation of goods before the Christmas day. With the reduction of the price, manufacturers are trying to improve the utilization rate of the capacity. This behavior will make people worry that the stocks will increase in the first half of next year. The over supply of the panel mainly caused by the capacity of the production line which can not find the suitable application. What is more, the world’s economic crisis in 2008 has hardly hit the development of the TFT-LCD industry, and then the emergence of the Chinese market has supported this industry. The core of the development is on the hardware and software. The problem of over-capacity is still existed. It is predicated that the shipment of LCD TV, display and laptop computer will reach 730 million in the next year; the growth rate is sixteen percent. The related integrated circuit is PM2105.
