The OLED is still in the developing stage, but it has so many advantages, for example, it is soft, and it can be curved. Its illumination will not be influenced, although you make holes on it. The LED always generates so much heat when it is working, so it needs the mechanism of heat radiation. The OLED do not need such mechanism. If these two kinds of light are lighted on at the same time, the temperature of the LED will go up more than fifty centigrade of the room temperature, while the OLED light is twenty centigrade more than the room temperature. Therefore, the new technology is safer to touch.
The OLED has the superiorities on the respect of heat radiation, thickness and so on. The LED has the high luminescence efficiency and production, but its service life is shorter than OLED. Generally, this new technology is suitable for the large room. What is more, it is able to adjust the color to meet different demands, for example, people in Europe are more like to choose the light source with warm colors; people in China and Japan are more likely to choose the white light source. The soft material of the OLED is easy to be cut, which is correspond with the demand of environmental protection.
Why the mass production can not be implemented in the OLED industry nowadays? Three main problems limits it, namely the brightness, service life and luminescence efficiency. The related technologies are not mature enough, which still need time to develop. The OLED light may become the new mainstream of the future illumination; therefore, many corporations are trying to develop this technique. Experts point out that scientists in Europe, Germany, American, Japan and Korea use different method to study.
