In the first quarter of this year, the shipment of the panel was 4680 blocks, while the shipment of the LCD was 3750 sets. The overstocks rate could reach 24.5%; the shipment of the panel was 5200 blocks in the second quarter of this year, while the shipment of the television was 2870 sets. The overstocks rate increased to 36.4%.

The overstocks problem has influenced the price. The price of the large-size liquid crystal panel declined again in July of this year; some of the price has decline to the production cost. The price declined 4.4% in August of this year because of the overstocks is always changing. Facing with such situation, some manufacturers are also trying to reduce the production to make the demand and supply balanced in the third quarter of this year. The price should decline continually to decrease the stocks.

The space of price reduction is limited, especially in the laptop and monitoring panel field. The price of them has come close to the production cost. What is more, manufacturers are able to deduce the production to the lowest level, because the cost of updating the old factory is high.
