As the awareness of energy saving strengthened of people all over the world and the fast development of the LED lighting technology, LED has been widely used in many aspects such as the landscape illumination, traffic lights, decorating lights in houses, mining lights and LED lights for automotive use. For example, there are over 20 billion of lighting devices that are using incandescent lamps, halogen lamps and fluorescent lamps, all of which are used to provide directional lighting. However, the current light sources are almost directional and and are of low efficiency in utilization.

Since the year 2009, the world has been positively promoting the promising industry, there has been an increasingly rise in LED of high luminance though it has a small productive share in the market. Furthermore, the average price of LED reduced by 20% to 30% per year with the luminance raised by 10%. The price will continuously reduce with the large-scale production and rapid development. With the market outbreak of the back light of large size, the price difference between the LED and the CCFL has become much more smaller. Therefore, the CCFL may be replaced by LED in years that follow. Considering that the cost of key components drops, many businessmen want to occupy the promising market and deeply believe that LED will become the dominant in the main trend application fields in three years and become the lighting technology which is of great advantage.

With these so many benefits, however, the biggest problem is that the cost is too high and the heating dissipation function is not very good. The cost issue is the key factor that determines the future way of LED lighting. Although the price is not very high compared with the same traditional lights which have much shorter life span, and can save latter costs for maintenance and replacing as well, primary cost often stops the desire of consumers. However, there is still a bright prospect of this industry, businessmen will have great belief to face the promising and challenging future and will improve the industry to a great extent.
