The European Union has conferred the "CE" mark to this chip, which indicates it is fit the hygienic standard. Every medicine is implanted with the chip which will break up soon after the dissolution of the medicine. Scientists hope to develop a "permanent chip" which can be existed in the patient’s body for many years to follow the state of health. Although the "permanent chip" will have large potential in the future market, it is facing some challenges, for example, developers should prevent the chip from breaking down in the attack of immune system and enzyme.
