Recently, the Android is welcomed by people because of the smart phone. Not only some large manufacturers have released the high-end Android system, but also the low and middle manufacturers have the related chips to expand the market share. In the year of 2011, the symbian is unpromising, and the windowsPhone need to be improved; therefore, the Android becomes the only choice for the corporations who want to occupy the smart phone market. This situation brings this system a competitive vacuum period. However, this system has so many shortcomings. I will list them in the below part of my article.

To begin with, the tendency of price war is very obvious. The Android, which is developed quickly, must rely on the upstream chip and platform. Also, it lacks of innovation, so the product homogeneity can not be avoided. After all, price war is not a mark of healthy market, which is worse for the new smart phone market.

In the next place, the precision is far from enough. A survey indicates that customers’ preference to the Android is more than iPhoen and Symbian, but the user experience is still behind its competitors. In the aspect of finger input, the recognition ability of iOS is more sensitive than Android. As an open-source system, the prospect of this system can not be seen when the investment starts. Some shortcomings must exist in the basic technical link. The perfect situation will come only when the better profitable mode can be used.

Finally, open brings disorder to the application store field. Because the mode of terminal and application store is considered promising, many corporations want to have a store. Many open platforms and incompatible applications are developed. The users are more, this problem is more urgent.

In this complicated market which is full of competition, how to balance the profitable mode and the interests of customers is a question concerned by so many people. The related integrated circuit is KYW25.
