Electronic circuit is made up of different single electronic components like transistors, resistors, inductors, capacitors and diodes that connected by conductive wires so that electric current can convey. The electronic circuit plays a vital role in making sure various operations, for example, the amplification of signals, the performance of computers, as well as the transformation of data. In general conditions, electronic circuit can be divided into seven types.
T he first one is the printed circuit board, or PCB, which is formed by a thin layer of electroconductive materials that printed on a surface of an insulating board known as the substrate. PCBs require more effort for layout and are high-cost than wire wraps, but faster for high-volume productions and the process of soldering can be finished all automatically.
Integrated circuit, also known as IC, is used in almost all the useful electronic equipment nowadays such as computers, microwaves, phones, and other digital appliances. Integrated circuits are reliable and mass productivity. Microprocessors or cores are the most advanced part of an integrated circuit.
Analog circuit is composed of the same components as electronic one. It is common in schematic diagrams, where wires are presented as lines, and each component owns a unique symbol. Its opposition is digital circuit, which can provide both memory and logic allowing them to perform optional computational functions. Compared with counterpart, digital circuits are fundamentally easier to design and are also known as Application Specific Integrated Circuits.
Series and parallel are two elementary methods for wiring electronic components on a circuit. In a series circuit, the current passes through a series of components that lined up, while in a parallel one, the current pass different components according to their resistance as all the components are connected to the same voltage.
Last is the hybrid circuit, which contains elements of both analog and digital circuits. It is widely used in most modern radio and communication circuitry. For example, in a receiver, analog circuitry is used to amplify and convert signals frequently so that the signals reach to a suitable state that make them converted into digital values, after which further signal processing can be performed in the digital domain. The related integrated circuit is L4949ED.
