The virtualization is no longer a new technology in the network area. The virtual network enables the different users to log in a same physical network. Logically, it should isolate these users to guarantee the safety. Layer 2 switching was the LAN’s important characteristic in the 1990’s. Virtual LAN is a standard which is used to divide the LAN into different workgroups. Apart from the VLAN, the virtual service of the infrastructure includes the router and switches.

At the present time, all the applications are connected with the network, for example, the traditional client and server are connected with the network, and the multimedia applications also connect with the network. The demand of network is become high; therefore, the integration of the network is an inevitable tendency under the shoestring budget. The virtual technology is needed to integrate and simplify the network resources.

The virtualization of network has the above functions. First is the access control which is able to recognize the legal user and device and divide them into different categories; second is isolation which distributes the users and devices to the correct and safe resources; third is the service assurance. This function makes the legal users and devices able to find the corresponding server. With the solution of virtualization, companies are able to deploy several enclosed user groups in one infrastructure. They also can keep the safety, extensibility and availability of the entire LAN. The companies with this construction are able to make use of the resource more effectively. Although their demand for the device, system, service and other applications increases, the cost can be saved better.

The virtualization can meet the above requirements. Firstly, different grade has the different access in a company. Secondly, demand by the law, some large mechanism should be separate from other companies. For example, the business of bank should be divided with the stock-market business.
