With the rapid development of the information age, the visual effect is the top priority for people when watching TV. Nowadays, the visual impact is becoming a standard for consumers to judge the quality of a TV set. Not only the definition is a standard for judging but the size of the screen. The bigger the screen is, the better visual effect customers will enjoy. Therefore, to adapt the increasing demands, televisions with large screens are produced with different technologies. Technically, there are many kinds of techniques to choose from and each technology has its advantages and features in various fields.
First is the DALP system which is commonly seen at present. It is classified into three classes: the LCD display, the PDP display and the DLP back light technology. Second is the plasma display panel. It is a kind of technology that uses the light discharge skills and its lighting theory is very similar to that of fluorescent lamp. Though the PDP has advantages of bright color and high contrast ratio, it has some defects that can not be avoided. The plasma display panel will be seriously damaged because it has high power dissipation and electric consumption, which is not suitable for long time display monitoring. Besides, the current plasma panel is sold at a high price compared with the traditional ones. In the low carbon society at present, it is not the best choice for most of consumers.
Next technology is the LCD liquid crystal. By making use of the software, it can be implemented at a high level. Apart from that, is has advantages of light weight, low power dissipation, long life span and no radiation. However, the volume is the main problem of it and thus, it has a market that will not become the first choice of consumers. Last is the technology called the digital lighting process which lets image be processed by digital processing before being projected. Related chip is:HD6805T2 .
