The current conception of car safety is not only just concerning how to avoid collisions but also including how to reduce the accident rate in advance, or the step of passive safety design. The package includes crash mitigation, lane departure warning and RVC system. Nowadays, the safety shield safety system has been developed to help driver drive much safer.
The core technology in the system adopts techniques of DTR, which provides media and long distance detection. Besides, the system also includes DTR radar sensors and DTR calculating devices, navigation control, electric potential difference switches, CAN network control and antenna. For example, when the radar detects cars in the front or behind drivers have the tendency to slow down, then the system will calculate the distance as well as the response time of drivers to estimate the possibility of collision. At the same time, the breaking system will be connected with this high-tech technology too. Some advanced system of this kind, claimed by specialists, will make cars of sixty miles per hour brake automatically.
Another advantage of this ultrasonic wave radar is that it has strong penetrating power of the clouds, the rain and the fog, besides, it has small reduction and simple theory for measuring, low cost and convenience. However, one of its defects is that the speed of ultrasonic wave is much slower compared with that of the electromagnetic wave, thus it can not detect correctly the distance when drivers are driving on the road and will cause mistake even when drivers want to brake. Meanwhile, as the direction sensor of the ultrasonic radar is not very good, there may be some mistakes because the system will take objects alongside the road for mistake. So such the system is usually put on the rear of cars.
However, the standards that current radar frequency channel using has not been established yet. Therefore, a general standard must be set to ensure safety driving. Related chip is:30PUB60 .
