As an increasing number of people own their cars, traffic accidents, of course, have been an important issue that draws attention from researchers of all fields. Therefore, specialists have already begun to develop systems which include wireless and GPS technology to avoid car collisions. Based on this system, cars that are on the move will be able to exchange information so that car accidents can be reduced efficiently and lost can be reduced as well.
New system that is under research can get the navigation information of the vehicles by using wireless sensors and GPS. This system can detect the distance between cars that are equipped with the same wireless devices. The primary purpose of this system is to alarm vehicle driving towards and to brake automatically when necessary to avoid accidents. Besides, the system combines with radar and video systems as well as the navigation control device. With the perfect system, the urgent automatic braking will happen only when the situation is very dangerous and all the process is completed in just a few seconds. When equipped with this system, cars will be able to exchange information which will help the vehicular system functions well.
The system also includes intelligent functions to help drivers cross the roads. Because it is dedicated in the wireless communication between crossing and vehicles. When the situation where some potential danger in the front happens, the intelligent system will alarm drivers in advance to avoid the danger effectively. After receiving the message, drivers will decide whether to brake or not. If the urgent braking is thought necessary by the system while the driver do not have the intention to stop, then a sound which can be seen and be heard will be made to remind the driver to take some measures accordingly.
