With the increasing popularity of 3D television, a war focused on the standard setting is on the way. The system established is making breakthrough with the first standard set for the earliest 3D television.

The 3D television has been a focus of the color television market, however, the present promotion of the terminal 3D TV market is not as good as expected. Although there are some companies have launched their new 3D products, providers are limited to a few ones. Besides, 3D TV still have some problems to be solved. Firstly, 3D TV do harm to people who are susceptible to over-clear pictures, these people include women, children and drinkers. Secondly, the price of 3D television is too high for consumers to buy. According to reports, the price of a common 3D TV is about 2000 dollars and some are even higher to 18000 dollars. The price, though, is not included equipments like 3D glasses which is cost 100 dollars per pair. For most consumers, they cannot afford to buy. Thirdly, 3D television is short of movie sources. There are not enough 3D movie sources abroad, therefore, it is time-needed for 3D television to become common in average families.
