The communication technology is developing so quickly. The alternation between different techniques decides the operating methods of different corporations. For the traditional telephone, the expenditure of local connection and international connection will be very much, but the VoIP does not have such worries. The VoIP is short for voice over internet protocol. People may understand the principles behind this technique. When we are using the traditional phone, the simulation audio signal and voice are transmitted in a sealed circuit; while the VoIP converts this audio signal into the digital signal. This signal is transmitted through the high-speed internet connection. The speed is one hundred times of the PSTN line.

There are three ways to have a VoIP call. Users are able to choose any method according to their needs. Firstly, users can insert the traditional telephone into the adapter. Then the telephone is connected to the computer and the application; secondly, users can use the IP phone which is seems like the ordinary phone, but it has the different connector. The traditional telephone uses the RJ-11 connector, while the IP phone uses the RJ-45 connector; thirdly, users can apply the personal computer to implement the communication. But the other side must also use the personal computer and have the software and broadband internet. The VoIP phone will be popularized, but it still needs so much time.
