The frontend modules for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth applications are released by Murata now. For both the 2.45GHz and 5GHz bands, Murata’s Microwave Monolithic Integrated Devices integrate the company’s power amplifier, low noise amplifier and switching product into single packages.
The modules can be connected with a highly integrated, single chip radio, such as the Broadcom BCM4330 chipset; therefore, they can offer a connectivity solution for the cellular phone, portable device, and person computer markets.
With Murata’s MMID series, a complete system can be achieved with minimal component. The line is extremely flexible, with the ability to support 802.11b/g and Bluetooth and/or 802.11a. One or both front end modules also can be used to mix and match wireless network with minimal design source. This reduces the complexity of design and greatly improves time to market.
The optimized performance at low current consumption is another advantage of the MMID series, which can save battery life. What is more, the compact design can be taken with the miniaturized size, thus the small and thin end products will be offered.
Because of the vast number of customizable solutions for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Murata has the advantage to do this work.
