Weidmuller Released its New Modular M23 Connector

A new modular M23 connector for signal, power and hybrid (signal and power) applications has been recently released by Weidmuller. Weidmuller is a leading provider of solutions for the transmission of power, data and control signals in industrial environments. The company develops, produces and sells industrial electronics, network infrastructure components and connectivity solutions such as Wireless Solutions, Industrial Ethernet, Relays, Power Supplies, I/O modules, printed circuit board connectors, terminal blocks and complete DIN Rail assemblies. Designed for use outside the cabinet in machine and industrial automation applications, Weidmuller’s M23 Circular Connector family includes signal connectors ranging from 6– to 19–poles, a 6-pole (5 +PE) power version, and a hybrid connector with 4 power contacts and 4 signal contacts. With gold-plated contacts, its mating cycles are over 1,000. The currents are from 8A-28A at voltages of 100V-800V, depending on the connector. Crimping contacts feature the patented SLS Technology (Spring Loaded Socket) for high-level contact stability.

This new Connector family is a modular system with a broad range of housing styles, inserts and contacts. Robust metal housings are available in straight and right angle versions, as field-wireable or built-in connectors. Built-in connectors are available for front mount as well as back mount for additional flexibility.

The feature of the patented Euro-Lock-System includes an integrated locking clip that securely locks the contacts into the insert. It allows for easy assembly and disassembly without the need of special tools. Designed for use in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +125°C (-40°F to +257°F), the M23 Circular Connectors guarantee ingress protection to IP67 and IP69K, and are CE and UL approved for use in applications worldwide.
