Linear Released LT3645

Linear Technology Corporation has released LT3545. The component contains a 500mA IOUT, a 36V buck switching voltage regulators and an integrated LDO. It adopts 3mm x 3mm QFN or MSOP-12E package. LT3645 has 55V transient protection when it works in the VIN range of 3.6V~36V, which is very suitable for load dump and cold start in automobile application. The internal switch with 0.75A can reach 500mA of constant output current when the voltage reduces to 0.8V. LT3645 adopts 750 kHz constant switch frequency to lower noise uttermost and improve efficiency as well. Except for main switch channel, integrated LDO can be used for providing extra low-noise output. When the voltage reduces to 0.8V, it can provide 200mA constant current. With regard to microprocessor Vcore application, power supplied for LDO by main switch output can improve efficiency and lower noise. With adoption of 3mm x 3mm QFN-16 package and high switch frequency, LT3645 can provide a dual output solution with compaction and high thermal efficiency.

The main switch of LT3645 is 750mA with high efficiency and has 450m VCESAT switch. This device integrates oscillator, control device, logic circuit and LDO. Due to particular design, the component achieves high efficiency in the range of wide input and its current mode topology makes quick transient response and provides excellent loop stability. DA pin for current limit provides extra protection to improve general stability. Linear voltage regulator works with VCC2 pin whose voltage range is 1.2V to 16V with differential pressure 310mV. LT3645’s other features includes good power mark, soft start and overheat protection.

LT3645EUD adopts 3mm x 3mm 16 leads QFN package priced at $2.25. LT3645EMSE adopts 12 leads heat-resistant enhanced mode MSOP package priced at $2.35. Industry grade version LT3645IUD and LT3645IMSE can work under -40℃-125℃ priced at $2.48.
