IPad and iPhone are the two most popular, best-selling high-tech gadgets released by Apple company. Many people take it for granted that an iPad is just an oversized iPhone, while the truth is iPad is a tablet PC and iPhone a smart phone and there are a lot of differences between them.
It is undeniable that they have something in common in terms of what they can do, like browsing the website, playing games, listening to music, sending e-mails and watching videos. However, taking factors as screen size, price, apps into account, then you’ll see how distinctive they are.
IPad owns a 1024×768 touch screen while the iPhone has a much smaller one that measures 480×320 pixels. The area of the former is about six times of that of the latter, that is to say, to fill up the surface of an iPad six iPhones are needed. It is not surprising that both of them are expensive in the market. Pricing depends on the capacity of storage and whether support networks or not. Practically all iPhone apps are available on the iPad except those for making calls. They may work pretty much the same but larger in size, but on the contrary, some native iPad apps can not work on the iPhone. For example, one can read magazines comfortably on the iPad, but certainly no one like to put that on the smaller screen with shrunken pictures and tiny words. Does that mean apps on the iPad are prior to that on the iPhone? I don’t think so. Well it is true that apps on the latter can function well if migrate them to the former, but the effect is not that well actually. That could lead to the effect known as pixel doubling with blurry pictures and jagged graphics. To avoid that kind of frustration, iPad users can view iPhone apps in their original size. Some iPhone apps choose to provide higher-resolution version that specific for iPad users.
With all those mentioned above, do you clear about differences between the two hot productions? I guess you may interested in integrated circuit SN74LVC138AD.
