According to the report in 26, Feb. that the annual growth rate of global LED revenue reached 42% due to beneficial of increasing demand for TV backlight. An analyst of Topology Research Institute, Hang Panpan anticipated that in 2011 the annual growth rate of global LED industry will remain high level of 42 percent with revenue surging $14.217 billion by the contribution of high-bright LED which is forecasted to increase to 83 percent due to three major applications including back light units for handsets, medium-large-size backlight for TV and general lighting applications.

The reports shows that global LED revenue was up to 9983 million with annul growth rate 42 percent benefited from strong demand for TV backlight application. The revenue of high-bright LED widely used as backlight source occupied 7599 billion dollars with annul growth rate 60 percent.

According to Topology that LED general lighting application will enter into a stage of rapid growing during 2011 to 2015 with anticipating revenue of 17.069 billion dollars by the end of 2015. The growth rates will up to 80 percent.

With regard to potential market, the LED industry in China mainland supported by both government policies and huge market advantages which get LED industry flourished in addition to industry chain improvement. It can be predicted that lager-scale events, LED street lighting, agriculture applications and the middle-western market will be the hotspot in the area of LED application in China mainland.

In addition, according to the Twelfth Five Years Program’s Plan that the scale of LED industry scale will surge 500-600 billion by 2015.
