Integrated circuits are usually called chips. Such complex electronic components as transistors, diodes, resistors and small capacitors are fabricated in a piece of semiconductor material. They are widely used in fields like controlling, operating and producing, now the products around us are attached with these small things.
After the circuits have been developed, they have become ubiquitous. Now they have been inextricable in computers, cellphones, and even digital cameras. In other words, modern communicating, traffic systems, telecom and high technology are all based on the tiny circuits. The integrated technology has become an dispensable part of our life and work. Besides, the invention of integrated circuits is a real revolution in the electronic industry.
The integrated circuits can be classified into many kinds. According to their different usage, they can be sorted into two mainly kinds: the analog integrated circuits and the digital integrated circuits. With the fast development of digitization, the commonly used today is the digital integrated circuits and they can been usually seen in computers, electronic counters and frequency synthesizer.
Packages of these circuits varies according to their different shapes and sizes. The most commonly seen is the dual in-line type, this type also has pins such as 8, 16, 24 and so on. One of its great advantages is that it is easy to use with only to put on the given slots.
Integrated circuits are vulnerable parts, thus, some attentions must be taken into consideration when to use them. The most important is that it had better be kept from high temperature and high humidity.
Nowadays, with the advent of large scale of producing line, the price has been reduced and the performance has become much better and high-efficient as well. The circuit industry has been a pillar industry from now on and our life will be full of color. The good example of integrated circuit is:AP1627 .
